One difference between the in-person and the virtual classroom is the price. We are offering a 30% discount on the registration fee. The discount will be applied at checkout.
If sold out consider our Mountain Time Zone option on May 7, 2020. The only difference is the course will start at 9am MDT or 11am EDT. You can register here
Pre-registration is required.
Certificate of Completion provided.
With the release of the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions Calls to Action in 2015, equitable employment opportunities and addressing employment gaps between Indigenous and non-Indigenous employees has become a growing consideration in Canada. In addition to social responsibility, there are many business reasons for hiring Indigenous Peoples.
In this course, learn about the business case for hiring Indigenous Peoples, and factors to consider in the recruitment and retention of Indigenous employees. Some topics that will be addressed include:
- barriers to employment
- community outreach
- cultural considerations for interviews
- challenges for retention
"The material was applicable to any job and was delivered expertly. The detailed and extensive knowledge the trainer had was presented in a way that anyone could understand."
